Powerful Storm & Floods Hit Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul on the Verge of Destruction

RIO GRANDE DO SUL, Brazil -Wind storms, hail and torrential rain hit several regions of Rio Grande do Sul, in the early hours and morning of this Tuesday (26), mainly in cities in the Metropolitan region of Porto Alegre and the Center of the state. The situation is alert because a cyclone is expected to form on the coast between this Tuesday and Wednesday (27), which should worsen instability.

In the Metropolitan region, hail fell in cities such as Canoas, Cachoeirinha, Esteio, Sapucaia and some parts of the Capital. The winds knocked down trees and heavy rains caused flooding, leading to blockages in streets and avenues.
