Grace j is ugly as and only wm wanted her. That's the real. She is 74 now.
@2:24 is that her & twin brother renowned Bishop Noel Jones?
Grace is beauty
Love her❤
I love your voice Karine. It makes me feel classy ✨ whenever I watch a video❤
Ah you didn’t mention that Grace is a mother. She has a son:
Step grandfather was VERY TOUGH to live with. Everything was a sin! Going to the movies, straightening your hair, wearing the color red. It was a very traumatizing and abusive environment. Bishop Jones ( her brother) has talked about their upbringing in Jamaica many times over the decades.
I believe the preemptive beatings are rooted in the horrors and terrorism that many Africans in the Diaspora experienced at the hands of the Europeans who terrorized them with violence and psychological abuse.
The Modeling/Fashion industry, Hollywood and the music industry needed somebody like Grace Jones to basically shake things up…she was ahead of her time in so many ways…the sad thing is, America was not ready for her including most people of Color…they said she was too masculine, strange, and they even called her unattractive…Madonna, Lady Gaga, Kelis, Beyonce , Rihanna, Katy Perry, and etc…they all took notes because there is only one Grace Jones…often imitated…but never truly duplicated!
Those cheekbones😍😍😍
Awesome freakin' vid, Empress Grace is EverythanG!!! 💥💥💥
I have admired Grace Jones for years. The female version of David Bowie in my opinion. She made her own rules and did it with such class.
Creativity should always be celebrated💜
She's amazing. Thanks.
Shh was tha' tough Jamaican "git tha' money 💰 gurl, it seems, by any means ahh' necessary."
If she would on Tour w/ Beyoncé, she would steal the show. I don’t think Beyoncé would want that. Grace is the show!!!
Damn she could sing! And she is beautiful af.
If in fact, Grace Jones is a woman, she displayed herself as a savage and a disgrace to the Hebrew women the daughters of Zion. The Hollywood industry has always exploited and made lots of money by using our people to push sin and debauchery on The Most High chosen people. That's the reason why our communities and neighborhoods are so crime infested and drug abuse everywhere because of people like Grace Jones. Yes, we are the Biblical Israelites that The Most High scattered to the four corners of the earth to be ruled over by our enemies for a time because we broke His laws and commandments that were handed down to Moses for the children of Israel. The Most High put us in the hands of these gentile nations and they went way beyond what they did and are doing to His people, so that's why our Savior Yashaya is coming back with a sword to execute His judgement on all the wicked.
It was a white man who made it possible to put her beauty on display. Unlike the color stroke ignorant black people of her time. Thank goodness we've come a long way from that!

Pure beauty. She made a strong impact on the gay community..
I love her!! She's just from another galaxy to me 😍🌌
I live and I grew up in Paris. I don’t know where you get this information but Paris is really racist. France is really racist as a whole. They can use her image to make profit but will never consider her as a human being. As a Parisian black girl I can’t let you say that even if I usually love your work.
Move is now 1 of my dance songs
Great breakdown Karine
💯💖💕🌹
She has the most trying facial features. She is NO lapita N. Not trying to be mean. She's not attractive at all and she pushed the oversexed black female trope.
There can only be one Grace Jones !!!
Epitome of beauty ❤
So beautiful…but wild chile😆😭😂
A Legend, an Icon! I was originally from Syracuse, running the streets as a teen and Grace and her brother Chris were known in the gay bars of the area. When I segued to live and go to school in NYC she was revered in the circles I traveled in, which were predominantly POC. Saw her at the Paradise Garage more than once (on Saturday night, which in the earlier days was the main night and mostly gay men of color). She was much loved and appreciated in that Black and Brown gay crowd! (Oh, and just to note – her first big song was "I Need a *Man*", and she released her first 12" single prior to that of "That's the Trouble" backed with "Sorry")
I never really understood her but I felt like she was a historic person
KEEP ADDING to the list:
GRACE JONES =
1) “UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK”
2) “THE PERSONIFICATION OF “BEAUTY & GRACE “
3) A BEAUTY PIONEER ……
*KEEP ADDING TO THIS LIST IN THE COMMENTS…..
I grew up experiencing the Grace Jones’s era. She was fascinating, eccentric, original and most beautiful. She influenced and changed the game when it came to fashion and make-up. And Grace was a phenomenal singer and performer-entertainer!
Remember her wild/drug escapades and lifestyle was actually the norm in the fashion and entertainment industry in the 70s and 80s.
And in case many of you don’t know, the well-known and respected Bishop Noel Jones is one of her brothers.
Beyoncé, whose not original artistically, also borrowed and copied a MANY of Grace Jones’s iconic looks and styles especially recently. Go back to Beyoncé’s videos and you will see many of Grace Jones’s legendary fashion artistry and concepts heavily!
I love her❤
I always thought Grace Jones was an odd beauty. The is something about her that many find fascinating but cannot describe it.
I like the pics of Naomi with Grace. Because you just know Naomi was the student. She was rarely in spaces where she was not top dog among women models. Grace ruled.
This is my opinion on grace Jones. Grace has a very striking and unforgettable look,a look that is rarely seen or produced. Her bones structure was very masculine but she definitely looked feminine when she had on make up. I could see modeling agencies begging for her to be signed with them to do runway and editorials in the 80’s and 90’s. Her look looked right on her. The butch hair cut and strong bone structure. I think she represents an very unconventional beauty. If I were into the arts and photography in the 80’s and 90’s I would have definitely had her age on my walls for inspiration.
teyana taylor mostly remind me of her
I love how all your videos feel like a friendly conversation
love her! she made it okay for people to be themselves and for women to be any shape or size and still be beautiful.
Grace Jones has the most beautiful bone structure overall, her beauty starts from head to toe, those gorgeous cheek bones are to die for, those sleek eyes; and her awesome ebony skin tone, loved her in the movie Boomerang, Conan, and others, I personally felt she should have become an professional model, she definitely had all features for this profession⭐.
When I was a child she scared me but now as a woman I think she is so beautiful!
And THE MUSIC! Timeless.
she was pentecostal? went to a school called saints? How does a nun factor into that?
She is absolutely beautiful!
“I believe in individuality, that everybody is special, and it's up to them to find that quality and let it live.”-Grace Jones
